Strategic Prayer Outline

Focus:  Humility, Gratitude, and Renewal

1. Forgiveness:

• Ask God to forgive personal and communal sins, including pride, prejudice, and strife.

• Pray for the softening of hearts to forgive those who have wronged us.

2. Repentance:

• Repent for sins of omission, such as failing to act when needed.

• Repent for sins of commission, including division and injustice.

3. Thanksgiving:

• Thank God for His grace and mercy over the city and its people.

• Give thanks for answered prayers and blessings seen and unseen.

• Express gratitude for the opportunity to gather in unity for prayer.

 

Key Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14

Focus: Strengthening and Encouraging the Church

 

1. Pray for unity among churches and ministries, setting aside denominational barriers.

2. Intercede for pastors, ministers, missionaries, and leaders to be steadfast, compassionate, and Spirit-led.

3. Seek God’s face for revival, boldness in soul-winning, and perseverance in prayer.

4. Ask for the eradication of prejudice, strife, and division within the Body of Christ.

 

Key Scripture: Psalm 122:8

Focus: Community Development and Abundance

 

1. Pray for thriving businesses, increased job opportunities, and stable finances for families.

2. Ask for favor in education and vocational training programs to equip the workforce.

3. Intercede for the success of creative and entrepreneurial endeavors.

4. Pray for neighborhoods to flourish with safety, harmony, and enrichment.

 

Key Scripture: Jeremiah 29:7

Focus: Restoration and strengthening of Key institutions

 

1. Pray for restoration of financial resources and trust in healthcare and education systems.

2. Intercede for healthcare providers, teachers, mentors, and counselors to be renewed in purpose and energy.

3. Ask for guidance and wisdom for school leaders, including principals, coaches, and professors & teachers.

4. Pray for mental health services and recovery homes to meet the needs of the most vulnerable.

Focus: Justice, Leadership, and Accountability

 

1. Pray for righteous leadership at every level: national, state, county, and local.

2. Intercede for leaders to act with integrity, fairness, and wisdom.

3. Ask for God’s intervention in government decisions that impact the community’s wellbeing.

4. Pray for the restoration of trust between government and the people.

Focus: Safety and Divine Protection 

 

1. Pray for the protection of innocence, especially children and vulnerable individuals.

2. Intercede for the safety of public spaces, including transportation, utilities, and community centers.

3. Ask for protection over first responders, law enforcement, and emergency personnel.

4. Pray for deliverance from harmful influences such as negative media and slander.

Focus: Revival and Deliverance 

 

1. Pray for a citywide, statewide, and nationwide revival, awakening hearts to God’s presence.

2. Intercede for deliverance from destructive forces, including addiction, fear, and anger.

3. Ask for salvation for the unsaved, restoration for the backslidden, and strengthening for the faithful.

4. Pray for complacency to be replaced with passion and purpose in the community.
